Yoga Retreats - On the Lycian Trail in the South of
Turkey
Set in a unique bay on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey,
Kabak, located on the Lycian Trail, yoga is taught in the
heart of nature. A yoga retreat is different from an hour yoga
class. It provides an opportunity to devote a large amount of
time to oneself, nurturing health and feeding the soul.
Working on three levels: physical (yoga postures), energetic
(postures and breathing techniques) and psychological
(meditation and becoming aware of our habits) we are able to
get in touch with a space of peace and harmony that rests
within us all. These retreats are catered so that as one
acquires a practice of yoga, one can also bring back to their
daily lives tools to deal with daily stress.
Retreat Format
Retreats are held Monday through Friday allowing for a day
rest and travel time on the weekends. Recommended is to allow
for a few days before and after the workshop to travel to
nearby bays and the waterfall.
Appropriate for both brand new beginners and those who
already have yoga experience, retreats are held in two levels:
Beginner and Experienced
All retreats begin with an early morning breath and
mediation session at the beach, continue with a posture class
before lunch, and another session before dinner.
Students stay in tree houses or bungalows by the bay.
Accommodation is simple and bathrooms are shared, this
simplicity is balanced by the wealth of beauty in the
surroundings, and home cooked Turkish vegetarian food.
